Making decisions for yourself…
Who exactly decides when you’re “old enough” to make decisions for yourself? When are you exactly “old enough”? Why is there even an AGE limit on this?
Most commonly parents say “you make your own decisions once you’re out of my house.” But when that time comes how do you know if that child will be ready to make these choices on their own? How do you know if the child isn’t ready to make these types of decisions BEFORE that time comes?
I see some teenagers that would be able to survive and make some real life decisions on their own & be successful doing it. But I see some grown adults that wouldn’t know the right thing to do even if it slapped them in the face.
My whole point to this basically is that God said train up a child in the way he should go so that when he is old he should not depart from it, right? Well, if they can’t even make the right decisions needed to succeed in life, are they really done being “trained”?
In my opinion, being a child has nothing at all to do with how old you are, but how mature you are.
